The Mosque we visited. During our visit our mini-bus driver conducted the "Call to Prayer". In the Mosque were given dates to eat, which I presume is a traditional welcoming custom. Our tour guide then explained the Muslim religion to us. Although he was a Copt (Egyptian Christian) his explanation was most informative. Our tour programme did not include a visit to the Coptic Cathedral in Aswan, but I would expect that would be an interesting visit as well. The two people visible to the right at the top of the steps were members of our tour group. Although originally from Tottenham, London they now live in Tiverton.
